How to make the creamy chicken breasts
The method to make thiscreamy chicken recipe is pretty quick and easy:
- First, season chickenbreasts with salt, pepper,and oregano. Cook chicken in a large skillet for 4 minutes on each side until browned. Transfer chickenbreasts to a plate and set aside.
- To make the cream sauce, add butter to the same pan and cook onion, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon oregano, and sun-dried tomatoes. Add chicken broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add spinach to the mixture and cook until wilted. Add the chicken breasts back to the pan and reheat for 2-3 minutes, before serving.

How to make the creamy chicken breast:
1. Thoroughly season chickenbreasts with salt, pepper,and 1/2 teaspoon oregano on both sides.
2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter witha bit of oil from the sun-dried tomatoes over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for about 4 minutes on each side until browned. Once done and no longer pink, transfer grilled chickenbreasts to a plate and set aside.
3. To make the creamy spinach parmesan sauce, add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the same pan. Cook onion, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon oregano, and sun-dried tomatoes. Slowly add chicken broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese and mix to combine until smooth while simmering for 2-3 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
4. Add spinach to the mixture and continue cooking until wilted.
5. Add the chicken breasts back to the pan and reheat for 2-3 minutes.
6. Serve the creamy chicken breasts with spinach and parmesan sauce immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley. Enjoy! ❤️

I used this recipe for the sauce and spinach aspects. Instead of sundried tomatos, I use red or yellow bell pepper and toss in grape tomatos. I cut the chicken into chunks and added pasta (rigatoni or tortellini, so far). Delicious!

I really liked this except for 2 things. My chicken took WAY longer than 4 minutes per side. Lol and my sauce wasn't very thick. Would have rathered it be creamier. I even add more parmesan. Any suggestions on how to do that?

Had company for dinner tonight and tried this recipe. I received so many compliments on it. It was so easy to put together and I believe you cannot go wrong with it. You can adjust the taste to your preference. I used red bell peppers because I do not like sundried tomato (or bacon). I served it with rice and portobello mushrooms, but it would have been great with pasta too. It is also very quick to put together, This is my new go-to meal for entertaining. This is a great, versatile recipe. Honestly I have even dumped all the ingredients in a dish and baked it. Sauce wasn't as creamy as it could be but it was still delicious and so easy. Going to try it in the instant pot next, stirring in parm once it's done.

I make this all the time and like most that have commented I have made a few changes over the years to satisfy our tastes. All good cooks do this! First of all the sun dried tomatoes are a must - they brighten the dish but I don’t use as much as this recipe and I chop them a little so as not to get large chunks while eating. I also chop up some bacon and cook with the onion. I prefer to use Sherry for deglazing the pan instead of chicken stock. It thickens nicely as it cooks down and I usually add more cheese to the sauce. By the way, did you know, if you grate your own cheese and let it reach room temperature before adding you won’t have to deal with curdled cheese? The one thing I saw on this thread that I’ll try next time is the addition of artichoke! Never thought of that!

Delish. I made it with a rotisserie chicken. Added the delicious juices plus cayenne and 2 T of cream cheese to thicken the sauce. Added zucchini noodles to the pan after seasoning them with Adobe and drying with paper towels. Yum!

This is excellent! Although it looks relatively simple in print, the ingredient amounts are perfect and create something spectacular. My daughter declared it one of her top three meals of all time. This dish had great potential, however, I made the mistake of using the Costco brand sun-dried tomatoes. The Bella Sun Luci brand was so bitter, it ruined the dish. I usually adore sun-dried tomatoes, and this was a brand new jar, but this jar will be going in the trash. I will make again with another brand of tomatoes. I did measure everything according to the recipe.

I have made this recipe too many times to count. I’m making it now, but the time on cooking breasts is entirely wrong. I would suggest cutting the breasts in half to cook at that time, otherwise your chicken is raw inside.
